Laboratory/Class Fees
A laboratory fee is defined as a charge made to students to underwrite, in whole or in part, the cost of consumable supplies utilized in a laboratory environment. The laboratory fees are to be utilized for the cost of consumable supplies and not for other expenditure items such as personal services, travel and capital purchases.
Other Student Fees
Other student fees include any other fees charged to students, such as ID card, technology fee, library fee, student activity fee, student event fee, etc.
Proposals for new fees or changes to current fees should be submitted to the Campus Fee Committee at the beginning of the year for approval by the committee, the Chancellor and the President, and reported to the Board of Regents at their April meeting. Fees will go into effect the following academic year. A violation of this policy will result in reallocation of funds and/or discontinuation of the fee.
