This hire was badly needed, given the increase in Social Work student credit hours of over 75% between Fall 2002 and Fall 2005. Further funding included $3,500 in travel money, allowing all faculty members to travel to the professional development meetings that are necessary for continued program accreditation and their individual certification, and $2,500 in support of students doing their required, unpaid field placement work in sites remote from Kearney.
