Thank you for your interest in the Department of Educational Administration. All of our full-time faculty members and adjunct professors have extensive experience as public school administrators. Our overarching goal is to meet the needs of the future school administrator. EDAD students may pursue a Masters or Specialist Degree as well as a non-degree endorsement. Our faculty members pride themselves in knowing students well and in maintaining mentoring relationships with program graduates as they embark upon careers in school administration.
Submit written recommendations from TWO school administrators who can comment on your potential to do graduate and study, and for educational leadership and ONE other individual who can comment on your potential. (Contact EDAD Department for appropriate forms.)

Announcements
Dr. Ed Scantling, Dean of the College of Education, recently announced that Dr. Patricia Cruzeiro has been named as the new chair of the Educational Administration Department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Dr. Cruzeiro assumed the position on August 20th.
Dr. Cruzeiro came to UNK in the fall of 2004 from Chadron State College, Nebraska, where she was Professor of Educational Administration and Chair of the Education Department from 2002- 2004. She has a strong background in educational administration and is looking forward to meeting the challenges of the new position.
Dr. Patricia Hoehner, former department chair, will continue to teach in the Educational Administration Department. Dr. Cruzeiro stated, “On behalf of the Educational Administration Department members I want to thank Dr. Hoehner for her years of service as department chair. She implemented numerous outreach activities and has always been a strong advocate for educational administration students.”

The application deadline for the December 19, 2008 graduation is September 15, 2008. Applications must be filled out on-line via WebEASI. The fee is $25.
