Employment Policy

University of Nebraska at Kearney - April 1992

The University of Nebraska at Kearney has adopted a program of affirmative action, to which good faith efforts will be directed to:

  • Determine the extent to which minorities and women are underutilized in major categories;
  • Develop goals and timetables for the future representation of minorities and women as a result of the Affirmative Action Plan;
  • Identify and eliminate employment practices that adversely affect minorities, women and others protected by applicable law, unless these practices are necessarily related to occupational qualifications;
  • Adopt employment standards based on merit and valid qualifications;
  • Develop a more representative pool of employees where underutilization of minorities and women has occurred;
  • Establish organizational structures and monitoring systems to assure effective implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan.
