A Message From the Dean

Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney! There’s never been a more exciting time to be a UNK Loper!  With enrollment booming and more students living on campus, the university environment is vibrant, and activities and events abound.

The staff in the division are responsible for most of the co-curricular components of the student experience at UNK. We provide quality services, programs and facilities that enrich the educational experience of students. Our priority is to help you be academically, socially, mentally and physically successful while you are here.

The Division of Student Affairs at UNK is comprised of 4 functional areas encompassing the following departments:

The staff in all the above areas and departments work collaboratively internal to and external from the division to provide a robust array of programs and services to meet the needs of the diverse students who attend UNK.

Take advantage of all the options to become actively engaged, involved and connected to the University. Live on campus. Cheer on the Lopers at a sporting event. Join a fraternity or sorority or one of the over 120 student organizations on campus. Attend a lecture, a concert, a theatre production, or one of our annual events such as Blue & Gold Welcome Week or Homecoming. Volunteer in the Kearney community. Participate in a club sport or intramurals. Opportunities abound! The more you put in to your collegiate experience the more you will get out of it. If you can’t find what you’re looking for on our website, please contact us at studentaffairs@unk.edu.

If there is anything that the staff or I can do to make your experience at UNK better, please let us know..

Sincerely,
