The University of Nebraska Kearney Cheer Squad performs at all home football, volleyball, and basketball games and travels to select away games. They also represent the university at numerous campus and community functions.
UNK Cheerleaders purpose is to unify students, alumni and fans in support of the University of Nebraska and its athletes. To serve the university as ambassadors at campus and community events and to motivate and entertain the crowd as well as promote school spirit.
Tryouts are held each year for all potential cheerleaders. Tryouts for the 2013-2014 squad will take place Friday, April 26 2013. Please visit the tryout page for updated information and tryout requirements.
