The purpose of this organization is to provide undergraduates of the University of Nebraska-Kearney pursuing a future in a science-career field: 1) the guidance and information necessary to render themselves a competitive applicant for graduate school, 2) a support system that includes faculty and peers, 3) a network of connections by which they may obtain additional resources (e.g., research experience), 4) insight into both the admissions process and the dynamic face of science today, 5) insight into issues facing the scientific world and current research projects by participating in Sigma Xi Science Cafe and other science-oriented events, and 6) insight into available grants and funding for research and travel.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month.
