What is ISA?

The International Student Association is an organization that brings together domestic and the in   ternational students. It provides support for those students who are far away from home, and at the same time, it offers opportunities to learn and understand different cultures.

Activities

Joining ISA is the best opportunity to get to know more people from around the world and to share your culture with others. There are over 600 international students at UNK from about 50 different countries.

ISA's Goals
  • Create mutual understanding and friendship among all UNK students.
  • Encourage international students to participate in different social and cultural programs.
  • Help new international students understand the various types of services and facilities available on campus and in the community.
  • Unite as a thinking group for service to the UNK community.
Meetings

ISA meets every Friday at 7:00 p.m. The meeting place will be announced later. Occasionally, we have dances, dinners or other get-togethers instead of meetings.

Faces of the World

One special evening every semester, ISA holds an international festival. The show features musical performances from different countries, fashion shows, dances and cultural activities, in addition to foods from around the world. This is our way of sharing our cultures with the UNK community.

Membership

ISA welcomes all UNK students, faculty or staff to join as an active member. There is no membership fee. We want you to share your best qualities with us, and your interest.
