Built in 1964 for $910,000, the Nebraskan offered additional space for services to students. In 1983, a $3.5 million addition to the building included a ballroom, snack bar, TV and game rooms, music and study rooms, bookstore, deli, sweet shops and private dining areas. A second addition was then built in 2002 costing $6.3 million and adding 25,000 square feet to the building. This space features a computer lab, coffee shop, food court, office space, and meeting rooms. The building is now home to campus dining services, offices for student government and student organizations, LPAC, Multicultural Affairs as well as the UNK Card Office.
