The University of Nebraska at Kearney and Wells Fargo have teamed up to offer you the enhanced UNK Card, a convenient single-card solution that allows you to make purchases anywhere Visa® debit cards are accepted and gives you free access to cash at Wells Fargo ATMs nationwide when linked to a Wells Fargo College Checking® account.

Click here for more information about the Campus Card Program, the Wells Fargo College Checking account, and how to get set-up with an enhanced UNK Card.

Signing up:  The first step in linking your UNK Card to a Wells Fargo College Checking account is to visit one of the two nearby Wells Fargo banking locations in Kearney:

Wells Fargo will mail your new enhanced UNK Card to you within 7-10 business days.  Upon receipt, you will need to activate the new card by calling the toll-free number provided.  You will also need to visit the UNK Card Office to turn in your original UNK Card and have your new enhanced UNK Card activated for use on campus.  Until you visit the ID Card office, your enhanced UNK Card will not work in the campus readers though it will still function as a Wells Fargo banking card.

If your enhanced UNK Card is lost or stolen, you need to immediately report a lost or stolen card at our online website and also notify Wells Fargo.

Using your enhanced UNK Card:  Some locations on campus accept both Loper Dollars and a bank card/credit card for purchases.  Remember that if you have an enhanced UNK Card and have a Loper Dollars debit account while making transactions at these locations, you will need to tell the cashier at the time of purchase which account you want the purchase to be debited from – either from your Wells Fargo checking account OR your Loper Dollars debit account.
