Protect Your Card
Not intended for use as an ice scraper! Protect your card from abuse that could damage or scratch the magnetic stripe on the back of the card. The magnetic stripe can be damaged or erased if you place your card near a device with a strong magnetic field (such as a microwave oven, television, or speakers). Do not place the UNK Card in front of another card with raised numbers and lettering. Holes punched in cards for lanyards, key chains, etc. must not interfere with the magnetic stripe, bar code or other pertinent areas of the card. The UNK Card Office has equipment to punch holes and will punch your card upon request.
Care should be taken to protect the card as you would any financial instrument.
